Sharjah First Engineers Forum
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, Sharjah City Municipality is launching the first edition of
Sharjah Engineering Forum as a platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise in engineering and architecture in light of the urban development witnessed in all cities and areas of Sharjah.
The forum aims to shed the light on the latest achievements of Sharjah in the field of structural engineering, and on the state-of-the-art tools and methods used in building works, in addition to engineering requirements that are based on global sustainability standards.
This forum that will be organized by Sharjah City Municipality represented by its Engineering and Building Sector in collaboration with the Arab Union for Investment and Real Estate Development will be held under the title "First Sharjah Engineering Forum – Global Vision for Sustainability". It addresses a large segment of society including contractors, consultants, landlords, university students and all those interested in engineering.
The forum will be a good opportunity for participants to find out more about the achievements of Sharjah in the engineering field, and the locally and internationally newly-developed engineering methods. It will enable them to keep abreast with the progress taking place in this regard. It will pave the way for enriching scientific and practical engineering researches, and boosting knowledge about the most recent and relevant studies and theories.
The forum will also explore ways of integrating engineering requirements and practices with the real estate sector which is the core of comprehensive development in the UAE, and look into the relationship between technology and sustainably.
Topics to be discussed in the forum:
BMC from the University of Sharjah. He works as a TV program producer and presenter at Sharjah TV since 2008, and presented several TV shows and Radio programs, such as In the Presence of the Book, Villages, From Sharjah and the Direct Line.
Al Suwaidi also participated in major conferences and events, including Sharjah Government Communication Forum, Sharjah International Book Fair, Arab Media Forum in Dubai, Poetry Festival, etc.
Director of Electricity Services Department at Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority. Al Zarouni has extensive experience in electrical grid distribution. He holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and a master in engineering administration.
Director of Branches Department and head of a number of technical and administrative committees at the Sharjah Government Directorate of Housing. Al Hossani was graduated from the UAE university with a Bachelor of civil engineering. He gained a long experience in the engineering industry though his work with a number of government bodies in the UAE.
Director of Architectural Conservation and Restoration Department at Sharjah Institute For Heritage. She is a member of the team preparing the file of "Sharjah as the gate of Trucial States" to be included in the world heritage sites list announced by UNISCO. Al Mazrou has a long experience in the architectural conservation field. She was graduated from the American university in Sharjah with bachelor of internal engineering and architecture.
